From The Choice of the Private Trader by David S. Howard p.93:
Decorated with a rural scene within a scroll-and-shell border in gold. This scene is clearly based on a European engraving, and probably one of the many which presented an idealized view of rural toil in the 18th century. It is possible that it could have biblical connotations. There is a later version of the same scene with the same border, made about 1800. The design is rare and possibly only a small consignment was ordered.
